A former teacher of mine used to say "If you don't have Tahiti at home you won't have Tahiti in Tahiti." I am not sure how that marriage lesson applied to 10th grade English but it has always stuck with me.
This past week I spent in Navarre,FL. This is my equivalent of Tahiti. We truly had a wonderful vacation! I got to sleep several times until I woke up(which with small kids is a rarity). I spent time reading on the beach, cooking without any interruptions, no driving for a week and just a lot of great family time! All of this is due to my husband being intentional that I get to have a vacation! I love that about him so much! I truly have Tahiti in Tahiti and a lot of Tahiti at home too!
